I am running an internal DNS which is authoritive for mydomain.com and an
external DNS which is also authorative for mydomain.com.
External hosts can only see the external DNS and internal hosts look to
the internal DNS as primary and the external as secondary.
I have had no problems with this set up until Win2k machines began to make
an appearance.
It looks like the Win2k machines will sometimes go to the secondary DNS in
preferance to primary - thus retrieving incorrect information (ie. they
fail to resolve names of internal hosts just like an external request would)
Could anyone advise me if there is a way to change this behaviour of
Win2k, or even confirm this behaviour? Alternately if my DNS structure
seems incorrect could you point me to information indicating how to
correctly structure.
Thanks
