I need to open two ports, 444 and 465, for a certificate server. According to IANA, port 444 is for snpp (simple network paging protocol) and port 465 has not been "assigned" yet. I have also checked the page, ports used by trojans (1999-11-01) by Simovits Consulting. Both ports were not on the list. Is it secured to open these two ports? By the way, why a certificate server uses snpp unless it sends out alert using paging? Any pointers/advice are greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day.
