There are two camps of RPC out there.

SUN rpc (also called ONC RPC)
Microsoft RPC.

Most unix boxes use the former.

Do you know what RPC service it is using? A good protocol
analyzer should break it down further. Are the broadcasts
regular or irregular? Could it be a machine broadcasting
to find an NIS server? Could it be rusers broadcast? Those
are two of the more likely candidates.
