VRRP would be one option for the LAN segments. Multi-homing the WAN connections can be achieved with several Bay and Cisco models and needs to be coordinated with your carrier/LEC (usually at little or no cost). Hi; I am working on a project to create a HA solution for a customer's firewall(Axent/Raptor). We will be configuring HA on 2 firewalls to form a cluster for load-balancing as well as fail-over from both inbound and outbound directions via the firewall cluster. The client will be bringing in Internet connection from 2 different ISPs for redundancy. I am not sure what are my option to achieve redundancy at the external router or ISP level? If someone has any views, experience, etc. configuring HA on the external routers going to different ISPs, pl. forward them to me. Could I do VRRP so that if ISP1 fails, the active connections failover to the other ISP The firewall running Raptor's DNS proxy and is primary dns server for its Internet domain. What kind of products (Radware,Stonebeat, etc.) would satisfy these needs.
