I have heard conflicting information regarding Checkpoint's performance/reliability using the UFP facilities to filter URL content. I am using a fully patched version of CPFW on a high-end UNIX system w/T3 Internet connection and about 4~5000 users. There is a LOT of web activity. I want to implement websense, cybercop or finjian via UFP to filter sites but have heard this will cause me problems on the CPFW. On the other hand my ISP (UUNET) says all would be OK. Anyone used this kind of scenario i.e. enterprise class hardware, t3 and lots of UFP generated traffic. I plan to have the filtering software itself on a 8500 Compaq server connect to the same VLAN as the FW at 100 Meg. Can I trust Checkpoint and UUNet's comments as to this being reliable. This FW supports our E-Commerce inbound too so I don't want it to hang or crash very often. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. - [To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe firewalls" in the body of the message.]
