Talk to the nice people at RampNet ( http://www.rampnet.com ) -- or surf
their site.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised.  The 700s is an
affordable firewall/router/DHCP server that can be firmware upgraded to
support VPN.  If you buy their stuff, let them know "Advantage Services"
recommended you, maybe they will give my company a discount.  *grin*  I buy
their stuff all the time.  If you read my earlier post about redundancy and
load balancing, the two firewall/routers I mentioned were their 700s
(DSL/WAN) and 310i (3 modems for POTS dialup) models.  I chose the 700s
because I *do* intend to upgrade to VPN support when I get these clients
connected just the way I want them.  :)
