Just a suggestion,
A Nortel BLN-2 Router with FRE4-PPC and Gigabit interface running
Checkpoint Firewall-1 modules. You can also mix 10/100 ethernet and
whatever else you like.
I have tested this in a live environment and seen no reduction in speed.
The caveat is that the solution is a bit expensive.
The requirements are,
1 x Nortel BLN-2 router
1 x FR4PPC with 1 port Gigabit Line Card
1 x FRE2-060 with 4 port 10/100 autosense Line Card
BayRS 13.04 (support for Checkpoint 3.0b) and up (Checkpoint V4.1 supported
in BayRS 14.10 (available May 2000)
The firewall is managed using the Checkpoint GUI
Any questions
Please email
Thanks
Geoff
