I've come across quite a few apps that don't work with the proxy client.
They are mostly small time security type tools like port scanners and bad
FTP clients. If you are deploying MS Proxy for strictly http and ica then
you'll probably be better off installing the Proxy client, but setting the
proxy settings in your browser. The winsock (proxy client) logging
facilities for Proxy are not as thorough as the www logging facilities.

Therefore you need to install the MS Proxy Client, its a socks like
winsock
replacer and can work over non TCP/IP Networks, too (IPX).
