Norman, management sets the priorities for us in the real world and some in
education and goverment. To keep your job, keep the manager happy.

Friends and Neighbors,
Pardon my play on: "It's the economy, stupid."
My, how pundits ponder access to porn sites and gambling sites.( What about
ICQ, Chat Rooms, and shopping sites ?) . . . . Sex and violence sure draw
our attention.
One important and neglected issue, folks, is the use of personal
communication devices (and company ones) to deliver sensitive information to
outsiders.
A second neglected issue is Social Engineering -in person and on the
telephone.
Has anyone counted the number of personal communications devices brought
into
the office? Some are Wireless, you know.
This is, after all, the era of anti loyalty and so-called "floating ethics."
If I were you, I would concentrate more on loss of information . . . . due
to
internal leakage, less on employee surfing habits. (Remember, "Nero fiddled,
while Rome burned.")
Where are the true ISSO's when you need them ?
Blessings,
Norman
