I have an applicaion which requires a persistent TCP connection
to exist between deamons between a firewall. I don't
really know what kind of firewall it is, but for some
reason, the TCP connection on one side is being closed
after a certain period of time.
Do firewalls timeout TCP connections? How is this turned off
for certain port numbers? What firewalls have this ability to
timeout TCP sessions?
Sorry if I sound naive, but the FAQ doesn't seem to
have any info on this.
Many thanks in advance and any help will
be greatly apreciated.
