Hello all,

For the past few days I've been working on using Checkpoint SecuRemote
client over a VPN. I'm using a Nokia IP440 at each end of the VPN (both
with Checkpoint and Firewall-1), I've followed the instructions in the
Checkpoint handbook but I keep coming up with the same problem.

I can get an encrypted tunnel from the client successfully without FWZ
encapsulation, but as soon as I turn encapsulation on the securemote tunnel
fails. Is what I'm trying to do possible (the documentation doesn't seem to
mention it)? Does having two tunnels (the VPN and the securemote)
terminating at the same point cause problems? My only thought was that the
FW removes the VPN encapsulation, but for some reason cannot/does not know
what to do with the encapsulated securemote packet that remains.

Thanks
Craig Flowers
