We currently have an NT Raptor 5.0.3 that supports TN5250 sessions to an AS400. We have a Service redirect for all Telnet sessions from the outside to the inside AS400. Our problem is if we loose a Telnet connect from the outside to our inside AS400, this connection is not terminated until the inactivity timer kills the link in the Firewall. We need the ability to sample the validity of the outside links to ensure they are still there, if not, we need to terminate the sessions within a few minutes. Using the Telnet Inactivity Timer is not an option at this point. We have keep-alive timers on the AS400, but this seems to only test the link between the Firewall and the AS400, not the full link to the user. What are others doing with Raptor and Telnet sessions that abnormally terminate, and leave the connections hang? Thanks...
