Ok, my problem is that I can not (for some odd reason) install .pkg files on my
system. I keep getting errors saying that it can't delete a directory. The error is
below...

--------------------------------
Processing:
Package: gcc (gcc) from </opt/gcc.pkg>.

gcc
(i386) Version 2.7.2.2
Using </> as the package base directory.
UX:pkginstall: ERROR: unable to remove directory </var/tmp/dstreAAAa0003n/gcc> and
it's contents

Installation of gcc (gcc) failed (internal error).
No changes were made to the system.
--------------------------------

Now, I am trying to install from the maintenance level as ROOT. I also tried as
NETWORK, and still received the same error. I'm not sure what I may be doing wrong.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kaye
