I know a lot of folks who have CISSPs and several companies
that include certification requirements in their job descriptions.
There are also other types of qualifications, for example, an MS
degree in computer security or a closely related field, that are
often just as good - sometimes better. There are even on-line
certificate programs where you can get a certificate from an
accredited university in some aspects of computer security.
