Has anyone had experience configuring squid authorization?
If so could you please contact me?
I'm attempting to use the smb_auth module to authorize users for
internet access through the squid proxy server.
Squid works without authorization, and Samba is working as well.
>From the squid box, I can see the PDC, and I can use smbclient to login
to the PDC. After logging in I can list files in the directory on the
PDC, and copy them to the box running squid.
But when squid attempts to read the file on the PDC that authorizes
users, it fails. ?????
The user(s) have 'read' permissions to the authorization file
(proxyauth) on the PDC. I've even tried it with an ID that's in the
Domain Administrators group without success.
