When linux loads I see 'starting firewalling [OK]' and then a few lines later I see 'starting ipchains [OK]'. I don't understand why two sets of firewalls are loading. There are other applications that load between firewall and ipchains so i believe they are not directly related. I did a locate for firewall and did not find anything unusual just called firewall. I also ran top to see if anything name firewall was actually running, nothing showed in the list for it. Any idea what else to check to find out why linux says it is starting a firewall a few lines before ipchains loads?
