Hi, Given a situation where you need to expose a web server through a firewall, is it worth using unusual port numbers to avoid casual discovery, e.g., 8123 instead of 80? Are there any issues with high port numbers like these for various firewalls? I have a NetScreen-10 here and any non-standard port numbers require a custom service to be created - and the documentation is less than stellar on this issue! (Any hints on configuring a custom service that behaves just like HTTP only on a high port would be appreciated!) -- Sean A Corfield tel:+16506378033 Software Development Manager cell:+16504833834 IS Solutions Incorporated http://www.issolutions.com 230D Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City, CA 94065 fax:+16506378037 - [To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe firewalls" in the body of the message.]
