A couple of questions and comments come to mind. Are the Novell servers
using IP? Can you ping them? Is the client set to use IP for the NDS
authentication? Netware 5.0 is IP native, so the vendor who told you to
upgrade to 5.1 was incorrect. Let me guess... they'd happily sell you the
upgrade? The process I would use is to make sure a machine with only IP can
log into the tree on the local net, then add the vpn and try it. As long as
servers and client are both speaking IP it shouldn't be a problem. Hope this
helps.

Subject: Secure Remote & Novell
I am utilizing the secure remote client V4.1 3Des Build 4118 Win95/98 for my
remote users (Win95/98 laptops) to access their exchange mail which is on a
NT4.0 machine and a Cummulas design base on an NT4.0 server. This works
great. However I can not get them to login/authenticate to our Novell 5.0
file server to access their data (Tree can not be found). I have been told
by a vendor I have to upgrade to 5.1 Novell since it is a pure IP
environment. Is this true??? Does someone have a work around for attaching
to a Novell 5.0 server???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
