I've looked everywhere I can think, and I'm hoping someone on the list knows the
answer to this question. I'm running a M$ NT 4.0 Server w/ Exchange 5.5 as a mail
server.

Does anyone know how to turn off the internet banner for Exchange so that when script
kiddies scan our server they dont see: "Exchanges Version 5.5 Blah Blah Blah, SMTP
Ready." I'd rather not advertise my Exhange version, or even that I'm runnning
Exchange.

Now that I think of it, would a good security countermeasure be to spoof a sendmail
server so that a vandal sends attacks designed for another sytems which would, I would
think, be more likely to fail on my platform?

Thanks in advance for information you can provide.
