12.1(x)T is supporting SSHv1 on several hardware platforms for 
multiple feature sets. 

Unfortunately, the 2500 doesn't appear to be amongst those
supported hardware platforms. I wonder if the 2500 might be 
too under-powered on the CPU side for SSH. Most of the models 
I saw supporting SSH had a little more power under the 
hood -- the 2600, 3600, 7000, 10000, 12000 series. I was glad 
to see that most feature sets supported SSH.

Going thru the IOS documentation for IOS 12.1, there doesn't appear 
to be a development path for SSHv2 on the radar.
