Actually, I *wouldn't* use DHCP to assign an address for a firewall.

The question was if "... anyone has ever configured a CheckPoint
firewall to use a DHCP server to set the IP address..." and Joe McLeod
said that "... FW1 licenses are tied to the IP address ..."

I was just trying to point out a way to assign an IP address based on
MAC address...

I imagine DHCP could be used to assign a firewall an IP address, but I
wouldn't want to try it.  I'd prefer to have a fixed IP for the
firewall.  That way, there is much less to go wrong (and thus be more
secure).
