It doesn't know unless you tell it!
this is generally done during configuration.
Otherwise, a firewall is a symmetric device, and doesn't know the meaning
of "external", "private", "trusted"... unless you teach "him".
As a consequce, one can install a firewall to protect the internet from
interna users. is there a market for this?
