Ipchains has input and output rules. You have to create two rules.
ipchains -A input -j ACCEPT -i $EXTIF -p tcp -s 0.0.0.0/0 -d $EXTIP 1521
ipchains -A output -j ACCEPT -i $EXTIF -p tcp -s $EXTIP 1521 -d 0.0.0.0/0
Another tip, why not try setting up a client on your internal and once your
connected to the oracle, do a netstat on the client. From there, you will
see the port that is being used for your oracle session. Once you find out
the port number, just replace the above rule.
I'm also not sure if oracle is using UDP. !?!?!
Hope this helps.
