Can anyone confirm which ports on a firewall need to be open to allow
Oracle NET8 clients to talk to an Oracle8i Server and get data via a MS
ODBC driver. (I believe it is TCP 1521)
The net8 client is in a DMZ running on a WEB application Server (IBM
WebSphere)
The Oracle8i server is on the Secure network.
I have done a packet trace and it seems that the Oracle server dynamically
opens listening ports sequentially for
each different client request.
Is it possible to configure Oracle8i server to use a static port on a
Microsft NT server.
Any info is appreciated.
