Humm, not sure why your saying this based on the links you forwarded.
specifically, see:

that shows FW-1 being slightly faster than Pix in raw throughput. 

Also, if memory serves, the VPN-1 Gateway used in this testing is a
middle of the road Nokia box. If you buy through Nokia instead of CP you
can get an even faster platform.
