Or, to be more accurate, using N-way store and forward layer 2/3 hubs
(repeaters) ... since not all products named 'switch' actually do the above
... in fact, most 'learn' the network the way intelligent bridges do, and
don't actually forward packets to only the correct port until that port has
sent something itself.
