I ran into a similar problem. The PIX has some weird issues
with link negotioation. When the line voltage drops or spikes
I noticed the PIX losing connectivity with my router. What I did
solve the problem was to purchase a separate UPS for the
rack that contains our PIX and the router to stabilize the
power supply to these units. I havent noticed a problem since.
cheers..
Marc.

I have a PIX 510 running v4.45. It'sconfigured for port address
translation. Ever so often, some of the users on the inside LAN lose the
ability to browse the net. This is solved by rebooting the PIX. It's a
simple setup really. Inside LAN is 192.168.1.0. the outside interface
has an ISP assigned address. No DMZ exists.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks.
