I posted a question a few weeks back concerning RAS/VPN setup on our MS
Proxy server to allow a remote user access to his computer. Ultimately we
would like to have our client use PC Anywhere remotely to dial into his
workstation. I did receive a response from this list, but was quite vague.
Anymore input into what I would need to do to get this up and running would
be great. I have been doing some research on installing/implementing on
server and workstation but have a few newbie questions.

1) Can windows 95/98 be setup as vpn client using just the vpn adapter and
dialup networking. The setup guide I downloaded from MS
mentioned NT workstation and nothing about win 95/98, I'm thinking it
will work but would like more feedback.

2) On the server side, should both NIC's have RASS bounded, or just the
external? Both already have TCP/IP bounded, and the
internal NIC has NetBEUI bounded as backup.

3) Is it necessary to add the "DontAddDefaultGateway" entry to the registry?

4) Should PPTP filtering be enabled on the adapter that is connected to the
internet/accepting the PPTP connection. This is also our only TCP/IP
connection to the outside world. So would PPTP filtering ignore all other
network packets including TCP/IP. If this is the case, then I probably
should not enable PPTP filtering and just let the Proxy Server handle all
filtering.

Thanks for any feedback,

-Charlie
