Apisit,
We had a similar configuration in a site I used to work at earlier this
year.
We allowed https through via a packet filter to only specific hosts. Then
ran
Outlook Web Access (OWA) on the exchange server. This encrypts the traffic
providing some security of the content, and kept the server up on all
security
and other patches from MS. This way, even if you manage to hack into the
server
at least you can't exploit on other ports, the firewall would throw the
packets
to other ports on the floor.

Subject: MS Exchange
Dear all,
I plan to setup system that allows managers using MS Exchange from
his/her
house. I has one firewall dividing my network to four subnets, internet,
internal, DMZ and remote access network. Machine running MS Exchange is
located in internal network. Right now, I drop all connections from other
networks to internal network.
Is it a good way, if I configure firewall to allow that remote
access
network can use MS Exchange services in internal network? If not, can you
suggest me a better way? and which port I must open for MS Exchange?
best regards,
apisit.
