The converse should also be checked... the modem should drop DCD when
carrier drops and the application responds appropriately. Traditionally, 
this would signal a multi-user OS to logoff an interactive user if they 
hung up the phone assuming the system's line protocols were configured 
correctly. It may have similar functionality for other applications...i.e. 
it may cause PC Anywhere to log out a user if the carrier drops. The 
application may also need corresponding configuration. Without this, the 
next user dialing in gets the previous user's session if timeouts haven't 
intervened.
