Hello everyone. I am in search of a personal firewall I can recommend to individuals.
I am reviewing Sygate's Personal Firewall (formerly Sybergen Secure Desktop). We are
not familiar with the product or their company Sygate Technologies, Inc). So we have
no information as to quality, company track record or how this firewall is rated. It
is available for free for personal use. It appears to do what we would like it to do
without bluescreening an NT machine. It's fairly configurable, can be remotely
administered, decent logging, pretty user friendly and has some other nice features.
In running scans (nmap and nessus), it appears to be fairly stealthy.
Anyone have any feedback on this product or company? I'm not familiar with them and
Zone Alarm will not work for us. As always, your response is greatly appreciated.
