well...  I like inventing new words. I thought it was clear, but apparently 
not.

I meant that the BSD stack has the reputation of being stable, robust and free.
anyway,it's the reference implementation of TCP/IP suite, and its code is 
fully documented
in TCP/IP Illustrated Vol2, and though the code has changed since, the main 
lines
are still the same.


That said, many other OSes have good stacks, but I have always found 
something to
say with those I tried.
