Tony,

get yourself a copy of FreeBSD. It comes with the wrappers in the standard 
dist,
and you even don't need the wrappers since the *BSD inetd has been modified to
do the checks.

compiling software on Linux isn't that easy, given al the randomness in 
include files
and libs distributed with the system. Unlike what everybody seems to think, 
using
Linux isn't that easy...
