MTU discovery source code ?

Hy all,

I KNOW this is the WRONG mailing list to ask, but I haven't got 
a clue where to ask..

Has anybody a small snippet of source code (C/C++/java) for mtu 
discovery ? I'm looking for something similar to traceroute but
with mtu sizes instead of answer times..
