a rule is a description of what to do in a given condition.
a policy is what to do. might be called a profile.
so what you have on a fw is a lsit of rules that state that
if traffic matches some selectors, then you apply that policy.
if checkpoint sell you something else, then consider it a vocabulary bug.
don't let their marketing guys reinvent your language. I'm not sure they
ae good at their job, how could you believe they are good at your grammar?
don't get impressed bytheir market share. defend your language...
