Greetings,

I have been giving some thought to automating firewall change requests and
documentation of rules. In my grandest vision, users who (believe that
they) require firewall changes would simply fill out a web form requesting
the change. Their information would become a database entry that tracks the
request and (possible) subsequent rule from inception to (possible)
removal, complete with approvals, history and notes.

Before I go leaping into designing my own tools (like I have time to do
that?), let me first ask if any among this community have any suggestions
for documentation or change control tools that might shorten my
implementation. Suggestions for commercial tools, GradStudentWare and
other homegrown solutions all gladly accepted.

Thanks.
Rob
