Gauntlet from Network Associates. They were the first to use the term. When
they announced this, people from Axent (Raptor) and Secure Computing
(Sidewinder) said, "Oh, we do that, too," though I don't know that they
actually do.

RANT COMING UP.
As a side note... their whitepapers area is EXTREMELY unfriendly. I don't
mind "registering" to get a paper (well, actually it is a pain when all I
am doing is research), but...
1. The papers I tried to read had to be downloaded. I used to long for the
days of plain ASCII text documents. Now I wish for HTML.
2. There is an option for a cookie to "remember my profile," but it
remembered it wrong (Afganistan instead of US, Outside the US for instead
of Maryland, and so on) and when I didn't notice it, I got a page
containing the error output of some script they ran.
3. Then, before downloading, you have to agree to terms as if you were
getting some software update.
4. And I see no way to find their whitepapers from their web site. I did a
search and got to the whitepapers page to begin the painstakingly slow
filling out the form, submitting, agreeing, and downloading for each paper
I wanted to read.
