Another nicer personal firewall (IMHO) to consider is ConSeal PC Firewall. It 
also employs a "learning" mechanism and differentiates between NIC and Modem 
traffic cutting off NetBIOS when surfing via modem. Also does some Nuke checking
etc.
(Only runs on Windows 95+ as far as I know.)
