Recently I realized that I was getting port scans on some ports inluding
27384. I asked the group and try to understand the speciality on the port
(since I had no service running on this port on my machine). Anyway I
blocked it using my old firend conseal. (I heard it changed the name:) The
fact is that in real life your door can be checked by an intruder very
rarely. In internet its everytime! Some lamers got some point and click
applications, they call it hacking :), and port scan everybody on subnets.
Conclusion: The port(27384) is used as a default port for a popular(!) that
kind of program. And most lamers dont even change it.
Last tip: To use at your desktop, Genius is a good port scan detector.
