Subject: Bandwidth Monitoring without a router

I have a network in which I have ethernet in from my ISP downstairs into
the outside interface of a PIX-520 (soon to be a 515-UR with failover, I
hope. I don't need the bandwidth of a 520, and it's borrowed.) I have a
currently empty inside network, and everything's on the DMZ network
awaiting being moved. This is better than things were before I got the
firewall, anyway...

Behind the PIX is a HP Procurve 4000M (with the latest flash image)
which has a couple VLANs and has various systems plugged into it.

How can I best monitor bandwidth usage on a setup like this in my
absence? I'd like to have a nice graph printed for me and all that, but
I can deal with average numbers for n minute periods; The important
point here is for the IT staff to get the numbers; If I need to generate
marketdroid-level graphs later, I can put the data into a spreadsheet
and graph it.

I have linux, NT4, and Windows 2000 at my disposal. The Procurve
switches will let you specify a port as a monitoring port.
