Hello everyone, I am currently thinking about replacing my Application Level firewall with any of those smart routers (haven't picked one yet). This is because of the intermittent problems that we are experiencing with our ALG firewall. My question is how far these smart routers go in terms of security checkups and protecting against the hackers techniques and mail relay. Do these routers check the data payload for protocol compliance and for invalid commands. I just want to know what is that ALG firewall can do but smart routers can not.
