Graham,
Firewall1 and sidewinder do a good job. Otherwise it will have to be packetfiltering at the points of entry or demark from the backbone.

Subject: VoIP Security Considerations
Our company is currently investigating the use of VoIP in a large scale
deployment. The environment would consist of a call center with close to
100 agents. Incoming communication would be in VoIP format, and would be
routed and delivered to the desktop in IP form.
VoIP has unique demands, most notably it's time sensitivity. VoIP
negotiations are typically dynamic and are difficult to administer at
the firewall. Although most vendors have some sort of support for VoIP
standards (H.323), I cannot find any benchmarking or white papers on the
subject.
A company named Aravox (www.aravox.com) claims to offer a firewall
designed for time sensitive data communications. Their website offers a
few white papers on the subject, but obviously biased towards their
project.
My question is: Has anyone had experience in this area? Are their any
firewall vendors I should specifically focus on? Any good research or
comparisons out there?
ps I need something that will definitely scale.
