I believe there is a business opportunity for someone to develop an
outlook replacement email client that inter-operated well with a replacement
to a Scheduler + client and server AND could be RATIONALLY configured to do
some of the things that others on this list have suggested (e.g., open
vbs files with notepad as a default, setting the email client
not execute scripts, period, etc.). Maybe then there would be less
need to carry on about this wormy problem.

Unfortunately, I think that the strong allegiance to Outlook as the
preferred corporate client is due to the slick meeting planning
facilities available in Scheduler. Naturally Outlook is an integrated
piece to this solution. Sales and marketing has to have it!

Speaking of rampant email viruses, one final comment is warranted.
When replying to email, couldn't we all highlight/select the most
interesting pieces of the email to which we are responding
rather than just hitting the reply key and getting posts to posts
to posts to posts ending in meaningless repetition like this
(learning to properly use your email client is part of a professional's
duty. <:-o>):
