What I am looking for a simple product. SNMP-based or IP ( ping test). If the machine is down, it just beeps you thro' cell or pager. Cost is a factor.

no,w if you wanna use a pager or the phone, you're gonna pay too
much or you're gonna miss too much. It's hard to says what alarm
is worth to page...
