In a large corporate environment with multiple sites there are multiple DNS servers. Inside and outside. Do to many sites and many administrators not all clients access the internal DNS servers for name lookups. Some will access the external servers and some will even access random servers on the internet. Currently Cisco Pix firewalls are being used. To alleviate the DNS problems Cisco has the alias command. alias (inside) x.x.x.x y.y.y.y 255.255.255.255 There is one of these commands for every server in the DMZ. Now there is a move to change to Firewall-1. Is there a way to do this in Firewall-1? No, I can not fix the DNS. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com - [To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe firewalls" in the body of the message.]
