BS"D
Hi,
I have the following PROBLEM: I should convince a company to
protect their network with a firewall - the setting they have
today is worse than terrible not only from a security point of
view. I do not in any way benefit from this firewall or have any
profit on it ... it'll cost me only a lot of work 'n some gray
hair ;-) The problem is that they are only sporadically
online but intend to be permanently online in the next future.
Anyway, to explain them their bad situation I simply cracked
into their network put some "was.here" files on certain machines
and manipulated some easy to look at 'n verify things. Now they
tell me, that maybe nobody is as perverted as I am and nobody
will ever do the same.
Now my QUESTION: are their some "official" statistics available
that show how often/in what way/... companies are attacked
or what losses companies had from attackers ... or any relevant
material to show them from a third party the needs of a firewall
protection.
Sorry if this is off-topic.
Best,
Daniel.
