Checkpoint on Linux vs solaris

Has anyone run Checkpoint on both Linux and Solaris?

if so what sort of performance or other issues are there (if any)?

I am currently looking at possibly putting i several firewall-1 boxes and
am debating between useing Linux and Solaris (and yes I have considered
the Nokia boxes, but right now they are looking like a distant third)
