(This does seem a bit off-topic, but I'll bite ;))

I don't think there's much risk of unemployment in any
IT area any time soon.

Of course, I should state up front that I don't know very
much about what's happening outside of Sweden on this topic,
but here, all the people that were working on crash-landed
dot-com companies, either

a) were hired by other dot-com companies, or

b) were hired by "regular" companies, who just now seem 
to be re-realizing the worth of actually having your own 
department of _devoted_ IT experts, infosec and otherwise.
Funny how that is ;)
