Linksys Cable/Router F/W?

Folks,

Iam currently using the above router/NAT gateway and self proclaimed
firewall. 

Just how secure is this product? Is IPCHAINS or Firewall on Linux 
better? 

I have looked for some security docs on the product and have found 
none.
