Thank you all for your responses. I could do some thing withe them. Here are
my inferences
1. When i connect to google.com (not www.google.com) i get a 302 redirection
response.
2. If i connect to www.google.com then i'm not getting the 302 response.
Why is it so? Here the 'gethostbyname' function returns same IP address,
only the HOST field is changing
I have one more question. How does a browser use the ftp connection. what are
the requests and responses when i use a proxy. Because even for a ftp connection
from the browser it uses the GET request, and when i connect to ftp server from
my proxy and returning the '220 connected' back to the browser. But the browser
is not responding with the username and password. If i don't use the proxy it is
connecting well and asking for the password.
I will be glad if you could send me some sites which describe it.
